What to Expect as an Exchange Student:

1. Flexible Study Duration:
   Immerse yourself in academic excellence with the flexibility to study for 1 to 3 semesters, based on availability and personal preferences.
2. Intake Periods:

• • Choose from three intake periods throughout the year:
    - September/October to January (1st semester)
    - February/March to June (2nd semester)
    - June to September (Short semester)

1. Active Academic Engagement:
2. Attend classes and actively participate in assignments, projects, tests, tutorials, examinations, and other related academic activities.
   Additional Course Options:
3. Enhance your skill set by enrolling in optional courses focusing on leadership, communication, analytical thinking, critical thinking, social skills, and business management.
   Enriching Extracurricular Opportunities:

Seize the opportunity to participate in extracurricular programs, educational trips, and outdoor excursions for a holistic learning experience.
Transcript of Achievement:

Upon completing the programme, all participants will receive an official transcript documenting their academic accomplishments.

Duration depends on the types of program requested and will be tallied with the academic calendar of the UTeM.

Possible types of programs:

• academic, curriculum or/and research
• student exchange
• industrial mobility/attachment
• Summer camp/winter camp
• courtesy visit
• cultural exchange
• campus transfer
• industrial/lab practice
• any other customizing activity proposed by students or visitors to the university

1. Must be nominated by the home university.
2. English proficiency: upon nomination, your home university must indicate your writing, speaking, and listening proficiency.
3. Currently in the second semester, if you want to apply for full-semester credit transfer program,
4. CGPA of 2.75 and above or equivalent.

(Partner universities with UTeM will be exempt from study fees and accommodation based on a reciprocal agreement between the two universities.)

Nomination Deadline

Partner universities shall submit student nominations by:

• June for the Fall Semester, and
• November for the Spring Semester.

All applications shall be submitted through the chosen faculty before being forwarded to the Centre for International Student Mobility (CISMo).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for our Outbound Student Exchange Program, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Nomination:
   You must be officially nominated by your home university.
2. English Proficiency:
   Upon nomination, your home university is required to indicate your proficiency in writing, speaking, and listening in English.
3. Academic Standing:
   • If applying for a full-semester credit transfer program, you should be currently in the second semester of your academic program.
   • A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 or equivalent is required to be eligible for participation.

Meeting these eligibility criteria ensures a strong foundation for a successful and enriching experience in our Outbound Student Exchange Program. If you fulfill these requirements, we welcome you to embark on a global academic adventure with us!

Applications shall be submitted by:

• July for the Fall Semester, and

The Fall Semester begins in October, while the Spring Semester begins in March.
